Vidhisha BALACHANDRAN

Vidhisha Balachandran is a researcher with the AI Frontiers group at Microsoft Research, where she focuses on evaluating and improving the reliability of language systems. Her work spans several key areas in natural language processing, including interpretability, factuality, and knowledge integration.

Before joining Microsoft Research, she earned her Master’s and PhD degrees from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, under the supervision of Professor Yulia Tsvetkov. Her doctoral research explored the use of linguistic structures to develop transparent and factually grounded text generation systems.
