Mark BRAKEL

Mark is the Director of Policy at the Future of Life Institute (FLI), where he leads the team advising governments on how to navigate increasingly advanced artificial intelligence.

Before joining FLI, Mark worked as a policy advisor with the Dutch government and as a diplomat at the in Iraq. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, and master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
