Denise WONG

Denise Wong is the Assistant Chief Executive, Data Innovation & Protection Group (DIPG) of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Deputy Commissioner of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). As part of her portfolio, she oversees AI governance policy and the development of responsible AI frameworks. Prior to taking on this position, Denise led a team to bring legislative amendments to tackle online harms on social media, and subsequently set up the Online Communications Office to regulate social media platforms. Denise also oversaw teams that regulate against online misinformation and scams perpetrated through the telecom networks.
