Adam GLEAVE

Adam Gleave is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of FAR AI, a non-profit research organisation dedicated to improving the safety and reliability of advanced artificial intelligence systems. His work focuses on ensuring that AI behaves in line with human intentions, even in unfamiliar or complex environments.

Adam holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was supervised by Professor Stuart Russell. His research centred on enabling AI systems to learn and align with human preferences, particularly in situations beyond their training experience.

Before founding FAR AI, Adam was a research intern at DeepMind and has held positions in both academia and industry. He is also actively involved in the broader AI safety community, contributing to research and policy initiatives aimed at the safe development of AI.
